Common Questions

RAPID TRANSFORMATIONAL THERAPY
TOP 9 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does it take?
Each RTT session last from 90 minutes to 2 hours. For that reason we ask you to block out a full 2 hours in your calendar to make sure you're not rushed.

What does it feel like?
The experience feels different for different people. Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What's most important is to know that how you feel isn't an indicator of how effective it is. Regardless of what it feels like - it's working. I promise.

Can I get "stuck" in hypnosis?
No! That's an old wives tale. You have complete control the whole time. You can talk, move your body, get a tissue, even get up and leave. If our call gets disconnected you may drift into sleep if you're really relaxed, but eventually you'll notice that you're not hearing my voice and will open your eyes.

How does it work?
Hypnosis is not magic - it's science! It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you are in REM (rapid eye movement while sleeping). That's what allows you to access the subconscious mind. It's very easy, anyone can do it, you'll see for yourself when you do it too!

What if I don't go deep enough?
Don't worry about how deep you go, I want you to forget all about that. It's really not important. The depth of trance is not linked to the results at all. So don't get stuck on "Am I deep enough? Is this going to work?" Just tell yourself the truth - "This is working" and it absolutely will. Just know that it is effective.

What if I think I already know the reasons behind my issues?
What makes RTT amazing is that even if you think you know the reason, you see it in a COMPLETELY new way. That's what allows you to change the meaning and ultimately, change your beliefs. And for many clients they go back to scenes that are totally different than what they expected. Just relax and trust that your unconscious mind will show you exactly what you need to see.

What if I go back to a scene that is painful and scary?
If you go back to a scene from your life that is related to sexual or physical abuse, or other traumas, it is important to remember that you are not reliving that scene. You are simply reviewing it and you are absolutely safe. I will support you and create a safe place for you to express your emotions and heal -- you'll be okay.

When will I start to see changes?
There are three types of change from Rapid Transformational Therapy - every person is different.
  1. Immediate: You feel a massive shift right away - immediate changes in your physiology, thoughts and behaviors right in session.
  2. Incremental: You see consistent shifts every day or over time.
  3. Retroactive: You don't see the shifts right away and then one day you suddenly look back and see all of the things that are different in you life.

What if I need or want another session?

RTT is designed to give you a powerful breakthrough and create big changes in your life. Some clients may need more than one session on a particular issue, depending on how deep it is it can take up to 3. Most want to keep doing sessions to work on other areas of their life and receive coaching to integrate these new beliefs and to continue developing their new, positive habits and  behaviors. For these reasons, I offer various packaged programs.

Does what we talk about remain confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and hypnotherapist/life coach. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter that is usually not discussed anywhere but the therapist's office.   Every therapist should provide a written copy of their confidential disclosure agreement, and you can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone.  This is called “Informed Consent”.
However, state law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:

* Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders to the authorities, including Child Protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.
* If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threated to harm another person.
